Which of the two is better & why? Or if you'd like to recommend another camera, then let me know & please tell why you think that camera is better. Please don't recommend DSLR cameras. I don't think I'd be willing to spend that much money.

Canon SX130 IS is better than Nikon L110. Some of the Advantages on Canon SX 130IS are:
1. Canon is small and thinner.
2. Canon has larger aperture than Nikon.
3. better Image stabilization.
Only advantage of Nikon is that its having 15x zoom while Canon is having 12x zoom.

There is one more camera Nikon P500 which has 36x zoom and also it has some good features, so please check that also.

sx30 has better picture quality

I'm not sure which camera to get: Nikon Coolpix L110 or Cannon PowerShot SX30 IS?
